Description: The objectives of the study are: (i) assess the economic value of existing and potential IP assets in Maldives; (ii) identify economic sectors other than tourism and fisheries which could be exploited through the use of IP instruments for broader-based growth, and ( iii) make recommendations for policy makers and the business community on ways to utilize the IP system for business competitiveness and economic development, including on the establishment of a modern intellectual property office.
