The Program will provide business people with tools and knowledge to help them to
make full use of the IP system, including through the protection of their creations, designs
and brands, and by opening the way to generating additional sources of financing taking
advantage of the results obtained thus far through the IPBD current program of Effective
SME intermediaries implemented in over 20 local institutions worldwide and 1 regional
project. In carrying out the Project, WIPO will work with experts selected jointly with the requesting
countries. Those experts will be asked to develop a set of tools and information materials
tailored to the needs of each country. The countries will also have a key role to play in
identifying which of the intermediary institution(s) that support MSMEs will benefit from the
training. |
