To move the initiative forward, a regional conference is planned to invite the countries, which participated in the survey in a discussion on the findings, intensify reflections and interactions, facilitate productive discussions to develop a framework of best practice in competency-based individualized training and learning management, and explore possible next steps with the following ultimate goals:
• Involved countries are engaged and committed to building the capability of trademark examiners of IP offices in the Asia and Pacific region using a competency-based individualized approach for training and learning management; and
• WIPO will have a clearer view of the progress and path forward in developing the competency-based individualized training and learning management for trademark examiners, and is closer to become a point of reference for said endeavor to IP offices in developing and least developed countries in Asia and the Pacific regions. |
