| Description: |
1. The 36th session of the SCCR agreed “to set up a task force of Members and stakeholders to report back to the Committee regarding the practical elements of the artists’ resale royalty right”. The task force will provide an interim report at SCCR/37.
2. In view of this mandate, it is proposed to organize the first meeting of the task force on November 13, 2018, at WIPO headquarters in Geneva.
3. It is proposed to finance the following resource persons for this working group:
- Professor Ricketson from Australia, a highly authoritative academic from Australia who has authored an international study on the topic - The two SCCR Vice chairs
- One auction house representative;
- One gallery from UK
- One representative from USA
- One artist from Paris, France. |
