||Expected results of the Phase I of the Project:
(a) Establishment of the Book of Specifications for the Madd from Casamance, as prescribed by the revised Bangui Agreement, Bamako Act (Dec, 2015);
(b) Registration of Madd from Casamance as GI in Senegal;
(c) Strengthening the National GI Committee expertise concerning the development, protection and promotion of quality products linked to origin.
(d) Assisting Senegalese authorities and producers to develop and to get the registration of Madd from Casamance as a geographical indication;
(e) Training the Members of the National Committee on GI matters.
