1. Reference is made to the 14th session of the CDIP and the mid-term progress report of Project CDIP 9/13 on “Strengthening the audiovisual industry in Burkina Faso and certain African countries “, which will be presented at that meeting.
2. With a view to ensure a comprehensive presentation of the status of the project and discussion of its progress implementation, it is proposed to facilitate the participation to the CDIP of the 3 national project coordinators designated by the governments of the beneficiary countries. As Burkina Faso is among the 5 financed African countries to the CDIP, it is proposed to fund only the project coordinators from Senegal and Kenya, Mr. Abdoul Dieng and Ms. Marisella Ouma from November 10 to 13, 2014.
3. In addition, the draft agenda of CDIP 14 foresees a presentation and discussion of the “Study on Collective Negotiation of Rights and Collective Management of Rights in the Audiovisual Sector”, prepared by Ms. Tarja Koskinen Olson. It is therefore proposed to also fund the participation of Ms. Koskinen to the CDIP (2 days). A cost estimate is attached. |
