The study visit will provide the participants with a specific day for training on intellectual property, traditional knowledge (TK) and traditional cultural expressions (TCEs). Another day will be dedicated to geographical indications (GIs), as requested by SIPS, as well as to bilateral discussions between the Ukrainian participants and the Department for Transition and Developed Countries (TDC) on future cooperation.
It is expected that the study visit will impart a deeper understanding of intellectual property and the protection of TK and TCEs, as well of GIs, and thereby developing further Ukrainian expertise in setting up national legislations in this regard. |
