Title: Licensing Academy: Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer - IP Valuation
Description: The UC Davis and PIPRA (NGO providing IP services and advice to research institutions in developing countries) are organizing, on a regular annual basis, a Licensing Academy for participants from mainly developing countries in UC Davis, California, United States of America. The course is hosted by the UC Davis International Law Programs and Public Intellectual Property Resource for Agriculture (PIPRA). Lecturers include world-renowned instructors from the UC Davis School of Law and other prominent law schools, outstanding legal practitioners and business experts representing major U.S. firms.
This year’s Licensing Academy will be attended by 40 participants from developing countries.
Due to the conflicting dates of previously planned missions WIPO will not be able to attend the workshop, and we propose that in line with the practice established, Professor John Orcutt deliver the program on IP valuation as agreed with PIPRA.
