Following discussions between the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), with the Italian UIBM and the IP officials from the Department of the Economy, San Marino, it is proposed to organize the Roving Seminars on WIPO Services and Initiatives in Bologna Italy, October 19, 2016 and in San Marino, Republic of San Marino, October 20, 2016. Because of the relative proximity between Bologna and San Marino and because of the overlap of some of the team it is proposed that these two seminars should be scheduled adjacent to each on the calendar and approved jointly.
The principal difference in the seminars would be the inclusion of a copyright section for the San Marino seminar. This addition is being made at the request of the relevant local authorities and it is aimed at highlighting the work plan of the Republic in updating its copyright structures. Finally, an Italian legal practitioner with long experience in arbitration and mediation with a strong recommendation from the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, Mr. Luca Barbero has been retained by WIPO to present on WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center (AMC) services. |
