In his letter of May 24, 2017 (copy attached), Mr. Mehmet Ozkan, Rector, Boğaziçi University, invited the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to support the organization of the Seventh Edition of the Annual Intellectual Property (IP) Conference entitled Success Stories: From the Lab to the Market, to be held in Istanbul, on October 12 and 13, 2017. This proposal has met with acceptance in the Director General’s reply dated June 13, 2017 (attached).
In this regard, it is proposed that WIPO invites experts from countries in transition to participate in the event, create a specialized panel on IP policies for universities and research and development (R&D) institutions and share their experiences and insights. |
