It is proposed that Ms. Aino Metcalfe and Ms. Malathib Seymany from the PCT eServices Unit, External Systems Development Section, PCT Information Systems Division attend this event in exhibitor capacity, to provide meeting delegates with demonstrations of ePCT and other PCT services. The AIPLA annual conference is a unique opportunity for the ePCT team to engage with the PCT’s largest filing market and to promote ePCT with its new user interface and additional strong authentication methods. The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) accepts PCT request forms prepared in ePCT which is also expected to increase traffic and therefore participation of two staff for this mission is proposed to ensure full-time presence at the WIPO booth. Moreover, Ms. Metcalfe is due to present ‘E-filing tools provided by the International Bureau, including PCT-SAFE and ePCT’ in the PCT educational session organized by the PCT Issues Committee. Ms. Metcalfe and Ms. Seymany would also visit the USPTO. |
