1. Following a request of the Government of Costa Rica (attached) and the positive reply by the Director General (attached), it is proposed to undertake an advisory mission to promote the Beijing Treaty on Audiovisual Performances (“BTAP”) and the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons who are Blind, Visually impaired, or Otherwise Print Disabled (“MVT”).
2. After their signature, the Government expressed interest in ratifying BTAP and MVT. The National IP Office (“Registro Nacional”) requested WIPO legislative advice for the implementation of both treaties and the assistance of Mr. Moscoso as external expert in this promotion activity. |
