With reference to the plan of action agreed during the recently completed mission to Malawi and reflected in the report dated July 27, 2016 on the Fact-Finding Mission and National Symposium on IP Education and Use of the IP System by Universities and Research and Development Institutions that took place from July 11 to 15, 2016. During the symposium recommendations were made to introduce a general course on intellectual property (IP) to be included in the curricula for universities and colleges in Malawi. At the conclusion of the Symposium, the Registrar General of Malawi requested WIPO for assistance with the establishment of the course on IP. In response, Ms. Chikowore recommended the WIPO DL-101 General Course on IP. |
