Release notes Version 10.0
This Proposal For Revision (PFR) is for ST.96 version 10.0. This is the only ST.96 release planned for 2026 and this is considered to be a major release as it is not backwards compatible with version 9.0. This release incorporates necessary changes to support Hague operations and the latest update to WIPO ST.3. The PatentRecord document-level component which has been under development for over 12 years will also be incorporated into this version.
Changes are indicated below with strikethrough font indicating the removal of text and underlined text indicating an addition.
The schemas were also assessed according to the latest version of the Schematron to ensure consistency with the ST.96 DRCs and any corresponding necessary changes are outlined below.
Unless specified, the description for enumeration values which are updated will remain the same.
