WIPO IP and Innovation Ecosystems Sector in association with its IP for Business Division, showcased the forthcoming WIPO IP Diagnostics at the meeting of the ICC Commission on IP

Assistant Director General Mr. Marco M. Alemán, participated at the ICC Commission on Intellectual Property on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 together with Mr. Guy Pessach, Director, and Ms. Tamara Nanayakkara, Counsellor, IP for Business Division. Mr. Alemán referred to the excellent cooperation between the ICC and WIPO concretised under the MoU signed last July, 2021 between the two organizations.

Mr. Alemán referred in particular to the collaboration that is envisaged between the IP for Business Division and the ICC Centre of Entrepreneurship in the deployment of WIPO IP Diagnostics and its promotion among ICC members including future training sessions and workshops, and collection of feedback for fine tuning of the tool to better adapt to the needs of entrepreneurs.

After some introductory words by Mr. Pessach, a demonstration of WIPO IP Diagnostics was made by Ms. Nanayakkara which generated a lively discussion between members of the Commission and the WIPO team.

WIPO Diagnostics will be officially launched on November 9, 2021 in a virtual event co-organized by WIPO, ICC and ITC. Registration is open for all interested parties at https://www.wipo.int/registration/en/form.jsp?registration_id=435.
