PCT Newsletter No. 07-08/2018 contained details of a Collaborative Search and Examination (CS&E) pilot, whereby the IP5 Offices1, upon the applicant’s specific request to participate, all contribute towards the international search report and the written opinion of the International Searching Authority (ISA) for a particular international application.  Each participating Office plans to process around 50 international applications as main ISA during the first year (July 2018 to June 2019) and a similar quantity in the second year (July 2019 to June 2020).

News about participating Offices

Japan Patent Office (JPO)
