Artificial intelligence (AI) is creating both new challenges and new opportunities for the production, dissemination and use of creative works. As these technologies continue to reshape creative ecosystems, stakeholders are exploring how existing systems, and infrastructure can evolve to foster trust, transparency and collaboration in a rapidly changing landscape.
This event will highlight WIPO's work on artificial intelligence (AI) and intellectual property (IP), including the Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Interchange (AIII), a WIPO initiative that facilitates global dialogue on the technical and operational aspects of the IP system in the context of AI. Examining how IP infrastructure can support trust, transparency and collaboration in the AI era, it will bring together creators, rightsholders, technology developers, Member State representatives and other stakeholders, to explore practical opportunities and challenges at the intersection of AI and copyright, including attribution, licensing, metadata, authentication and content recognition.
The program will feature opening remarks, a spotlight on WIPO’s AIII initiative, an interactive panel discussion with the Technical Exchange Network (TEN) members, reflections from Member States and an interactive Q&A session with the audience. The event will highlight collaborative approaches to strengthening creative and innovation ecosystems as AI continues to evolve.
