Annual "European Entrepreneurship Video Award" (2009/2010): the European Commission is encouraging enterprising film lovers (aged 25 or younger) to prove their creativity and skills by producing a short video that encourages and supports entrepreneurship; prizes are awarded in three categories: "Entrepreneurship – A different way of life", "Entrepreneurship – Challenges and rewards", "Entrepreneurship – The way into the future"; five additional "special prizes" are reserved for persons aged 25 or younger
Annual "European SME Week" campaign (since 2009) to promote entrepreneurship across Europe; informs, assists and connects existing and potential entrepreneurs and also helps them develop new ideas and benefit from personalised information and support; includes: events, "SME week video channel", newsletter, "The Secret of Success 2010 - The Many Faces of European Entrepreneurship" brochure, "The Secret of Success" brochure (2009), "The SME experience – How it feels to be an entrepreneur" exhibition, portraits of entrepreneurs
2009: "European Year of Creativity and Innovation"; objective: to raise awareness of importance of creativity and innovation for personal, social and economic development, to disseminate good practices, stimulate education and research, and promote policy debate and development; slogan: “Imagine. Create. Innovate.”
