Hague System Seminar: Practical Approach and Tips to Make the Most of the Ever Expanding System

Register online now to attend a Hague Seminar at WIPO Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, on July 19, 2018. The Seminar will illustrate the lifecycle of an international registration, from filing to expiration, with an emphasis on the use of electronic tools.
As the Hague System continues its global expansion, the Seminar will provide tips on how to maximize your chances to be granted protection in Japan, the Republic of Korea, the Russian Federation and the United States of America. Furthermore, representatives from the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) and the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI) will make statements relating to their forthcoming accession to the Hague System.
Practitioners in the field of industrial design will share their views and practical experience on successful filing strategies as well as the advantages of the Hague System for SMEs and multinationals. You will have the opportunity to interact with Hague Registry experts and the invited speakers, as well as to seek advice, share opinions, experiences and ideas.
The Seminar will be in English. The sessions will be led by various WIPO experts, with the participation of two IP practitioners.

Registration and payment
Registration fee of 300 Swiss francs includes the seminar material, morning and afternoon coffee/tea, and lunch. Participants should register online by July 5, 2018, 6 p.m. (CET) at the latest. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The fee is payable via bank transfer, WIPO Current Account or credit card.
Please note that no refund will be processed in the case of a cancellation received after July 12, 2018.
For IP Offices: Officials from national/regional IP Offices of the members of the Hague Union are exempt from the payment of registration fees.
Organizational information
Participants or the administrations that they represent are responsible for organizing their own entry visa (where applicable) and accommodation arrangements. General information regarding accommodation in Geneva is available through the Geneva Tourism Office.
