WIPO has launched a new survey to better understand how its IP analytics publications and resources are being used around the world, what users find most valuable and where there is scope to improve.
For many years, WIPO has produced a range of IP analytics resources, including WIPO Technology Trends reports, Patent Landscape Reports, Technology SPARK reports and methodological resources. These publications are used by policymakers, researchers, businesses, IP professionals and others to inform research, decision-making and policy development.
While WIPO regularly receives feedback from users of these resources, the new survey aims to provide a broader and more systematic picture of their use and impact.
The survey asks users about their experience with WIPO IP analytics publications and resources, including how they use them, which aspects they find most useful and what additional resources or improvements they would like to see. The findings will help WIPO understand where its IP analytics work is having the greatest impact and where it could do things differently – from the publications and analysis it produces to the tools and supporting resources developed alongside them.
The survey will remain open to gather perspectives from users across different countries, sectors and organizations. It is available in all six official United Nations languages and takes approximately five minutes to complete.
