Join WIPO on Friday, July 11 to discover the 10 startups and SMEs using intellectual property (IP) to build a better future — across sectors including health, environment, agri-food, creative industries, and ICT. Winners will also share what today’s innovators really need from the IP ecosystem to thrive.
This year’s edition attracted a record 780+ applications from 95 countries, each showcasing how IP can be a strategic tool to scale innovation and deliver real impact. Following a rigorous evaluation process, an international jury selected 10 winners from a shortlist of 30 outstanding finalists.
The ceremony will also unveil two new recognitions: Best Woman Entrepreneur 2025 and Best Youth Entrepreneur 2025, honoring leadership that inspires beyond innovation.
WIPO Director General Daren Tang will open the event with a keynote on how IP can help small businesses grow, attract investment, and bring transformative solutions to market. Each winner will then take the stage to share their entrepreneurial journey and call on IP stakeholders to better support innovation.
A jury roundtable will follow, exploring how to create environments that attract investment in IP-driven startups. A networking session will then bring together winners, jury members, General Assembly delegates, and partners from the global innovation ecosystem.
This ceremony is more than a celebration — it’s a front-row seat to how IP empowers the entrepreneurs shaping our collective future.
Register to attend in person at WIPO, or watch the webcast live on Friday, July 11 at 11:30 a.m. (CET).
