The 16th edition of the annual Advanced International Certificate Course (AICC) on Intellectual Property Asset Management for Business Success is now open for registration until April 20, 2025. The in-person workshop phase of the course will take place in Seoul, Republic of Korea, from November 3 to 6, 2025.
The AICC is offered free-of-charge to selected applicants. Students and professionals, across private and public sectors, interested in deepening their understanding and practical knowledge of intellectual property (IP) asset management are encouraged to apply.
The course is jointly organized by the WIPO Academy, the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), the Korean Invention Promotion Association (KIPA), and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), with support from Funds-in-Trust of the Republic of Korea for IP and Education.
What is the AICC?
The AICC consists of three phases:
- Phase 1: Online courses comprising foundational learning on IP management (from March to July 2025)
- IP Panorama 2.0 – participants who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate and progress to the next step of this phase.
- Special Session of the WIPO Advanced eLearning Course on IP Management (DL-450).
- Phase 2: DL-450 final exam and IP essay (July 2025)
Participants must complete the DL-450 final exam, and an IP essay outlining their professional or entrepreneurial aspirations, and motivation to take part in the in-person workshop.
- Phase 3: In-person workshop (from November 3 to 6, 2025)
- Limited places are available, and only select participants from Phase 2 will be invited to participate in the in-person workshop.
- The workshop, which will be held in Seoul, the Republic of Korea, comprises in-depth lectures and activities with renowned IP experts on advanced IP management topics from practical business perspectives.
