WIPO - IPOS IP Awards for 2018 Announced at Opening Ceremony of the Global Forum on IP

In front of nearly 1,000 members of the IP community in Asia-Pacific, WIPO’s Assistant Director General Mr. Yo Takagi presented two WIPO Awards – the WIPO IP Enterprise Trophy and the WIPO Users’ Trophy. The awards ceremony took place during the opening of the Global Forum on IP held in Singapore.

The winner of the WIPO IP Enterprise Trophy was Creative Technology Ltd, a Singapore-based company that produces innovative products in the sound industry such as headphones, speakers, amplifiers, sound cards, gaming headsets and other peripherals.

MediaTek Singapore Pte Ltd was the winner of the WIPO Users’ trophy. According to a press release issued by the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore,

MediaTek is the world’s fourth largest global fabless semiconductor company and powers more than 1.5 billion devices a year. It leads the market in chipset technology for Smart TVs, Voice Assistant Devices (VAD), Android tablets, feature phones, Optical and Blu-ray DVD players, and is the number two globally in mobile phones.
