Name: Scott Phillips Organization: none Position: Concerned Net citizen After reading the new proposals for arbitration, I became very concerned for the direction of the internet. Bargaining in bad faith is one thing. Cybersquatting shouldn't be tolerated. But enforcing regions?? And tradenames? It becomes possible for ordinary people to be cast aside for a name that no one else specifically had a right to. As it is, the WIPO has shown a major leaning towards businesses and money (thus ignoring the public). These proposals would only propel that trend and prove once and for all that the WIPO is all about money. Adopting these standards would agitate an already unequal balance.
