Speaker -Thierry Sueur

Thierry Sueur, currently Vice President, Intellectual Property and Vice President, European & International Affairs of AIR LIQUIDE, graduated as a Chemical Engineer and from CEIPI (Strasbourg Law University) before becoming a European Patent Attorney. 

After nine years in private practice, he joined THOMSON Multimédia as Vice-President, Intellectual Property in 1984 until 1992. 

From 1988 to 1992, he was Director of the Board of RCA Licensing and President and CEO of the GIE Mac Packet (licensing of high definition TV patents). In addition to his present responsibility in AIR LIQUIDE since 1992, Thierry SUEUR was President of L.E.S. France from 1993 to 1996.

From 1996 to 1998, he was Treasurer of L.E.S. International and from November 2001 to October 2002, President of LES International. Since 1997, he is Chairman of the Intellectual Property Committee of the MEDEF (French Industry Association) and since 1999, he is Vice-Chairman of the Patent Working Group of UNICE (Union of Industrial and Employers’ Confederation of Europe).
