First Virtual Edition of the IP Asset Management for Business Professionals Course

The annual training course on intellectual property (IP) management for business professionals was held exclusively online from November 10 to 13, 2020. The WIPO Academy, the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA), and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) jointly organized the training course for the benefit of 52 business professionals from 38 countries.
The virtual edition of the training course was preceded by an online phase that included the IP Panorama Multimedia Toolkit and the Advanced Distance Learning Course on IP Management (DL-450).
What did the training course cover?
The training course included a range of lectures and interactive sessions on topics such as:
- Innovation management;
- Open innovation, open licensing and open science;
- Trade secrets;
- Co-innovation and IP;
- Copyright management;
- IP management education;
- A negotiation game; and
- A strategic IP management simulation game.
