Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure
Communication by the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Regarding Changes in the Schedule of Fees Charged by the National Collection of Yeast Cultures (NCYC)
The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) presents his compliments to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and has the honor to notify the receipt, on November 20, 2018, of a Note (Ref. No. 297) dated October 31, 2018, from the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland regarding changes in the schedule of fees charged by the National Collection of Yeast Cultures (NCYC), an International Depositary Authority (IDA) under the Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure, done at Budapest on April 28, 1977, and amended on September 26, 1980 (see Budapest Notification No. 23 of December 15, 1981).
According to Rule 12.2(c) of the Regulations under the Budapest Treaty, the new fees for storage and for the furnishing of a sample shall take effect on January 25, 2019, that is, on the thirtieth day following the publication of the changes by the International Bureau.
The new Fee Schedule of the said international depositary authority is as follows:

The fee is payable to National Collection of Yeast Cultures (NCYC) and subject to VAT, at the current rate, where applicable.
