This webinar marks the second Technical Assistance and Capacity Building webinar of 2026 and the final session of the year. It will focus on how technical assistance programs can be designed and implemented to maintain their benefits over time and prevent the loss of valuable project outcomes once activities have concluded.
The session will examine practical approaches to sustaining results, including the enhanced use of project outputs, the expansion of benefits from technical assistance and capacity-building activities, and the public use of outputs. Drawing on case studies and lessons learned from previous projects, the discussion will highlight effective “exit strategies” and approaches for strengthening the long-term value of future initiatives.
The webinar will bring together speakers from national IP offices, international organizations and WIPO, offering diverse perspectives on how sustainability strategies can be integrated into technical assistance programs. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in the discussion through the panel session and Q&A.
Further information, including registration and the provisional program, is available on the event webpage.
The Technical Assistance Webinars are organized in the context of a decision taken by the Committee on Development and Intellectual Property (CDIP).
