Following the success of its first edition at VivaTech 2025, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is pleased to launch a new edition of its One-Day IP Workshop for Startups during VivaTech 2026 in Paris.
The 2025 pilot workshop brought together innovative startups from sectors such as AI, MedTech, energy, cybersecurity, and sustainable innovation, providing founders with tailored guidance on how to protect and leverage their intellectual property. Participants highlighted the practical value of the mentoring sessions, particularly in refining their IP strategies, preparing investment and international expansion, and better understanding of WIPO’s international registration systems.
Building on these positive results, WIPO will once again select 10 innovative startups to participate in personalized, one-on-one IP strategy sessions with WIPO specialists and external IP experts, based on each startup’s own WIPO IP Diagnostics Report.
What Startups Will Gain

Who Can Apply
Startups that:
- Have an innovative product, technology, or service
- Are interested in strengthening their IP strategy
- Are willing to complete the WIPO IP Diagnostics process prior to the event
- Have a confirmed representative attending VivaTech 2026 in Paris*
*This is an in-person workshop and selected participants are expected to attend onsite during VivaTech in Paris.
How It Works
Selected startups will:
- Participate in a short virtual onboarding session introducing WIPO IP Diagnostics
- Complete their WIPO IP Diagnostics assessment
- Receive a scheduled in-person mentoring session with WIPO and IP experts during VivaTech on either June 18th or June 19th
- Leave with practical recommendations and a tailored assessment to support their IP and business journey

Startups interested in participating must apply by June 10, 2026. Selection will be made on a rolling basis, with only 10 places available.
