Jon LANG is a CEDR accredited independent commercial mediator and has mediated regularly for many years. In May 2005, after almost twenty years as a solicitor in private practice, the last six as a partner in the disputes group of White & Case in London, Jon became a full-time mediator.

Jon has acted as an expert in mediation and is a panel member of the Court of Appeal mediation scheme, immediate past Chair of the Mediation Committee of the International Bar Association, a former Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association's International Mediation Committee and a member of CPR's Panel of Distinguished Neutrals. Jon is also the author of the book, "A Practical Guide to Mediation in Intellectual Property, Technology & Related Disputes" published by Sweet & Maxwell in 2006.

Jon has been ranked for many years amongst the UK's leading mediators in the Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 directories, the two leading independently researched legal directories published annually.

In 2006, Jon set up a Consulting arm to his practice, specializing in risk management and conflict resolution. Through his consulting practice, Jon acts as mediation counsel, providing advice and assistance to parties preparing for and participating in negotiation and mediation, and also designs and delivers related training programs many in conjunction with the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center.

Sabine FEHRINGER is a partner with DLA Piper Weiss-Tessbach Rechtsanwälte GmbH in Austria in the firm's IPT-team. She has been practicing law in Austria for more than 20 years.

Sabine Fehringer specializes in the areas of IT / IP, research and development, licensing, new media and advertising, including IT / IP related M&A and corporate transactions. She is active in the contentious and non-contentious area, including arbitration (both as arbitrator and advisor). She advises in major national and EU research projects, IT, licensing and technology transfer projects, but also M&A transactions with a strong IT / IP focus. She also deals with research promotion and state aid related issues. She regularly advises or defends clients with regard to media and advertising campaigns.

Among Sabine Fehringer's clients are private and public research companies, universities, IT and telecom companies but also trading and industrial companies.

Sabine Fehringer publishes regularly in her areas of practice. In 2010, she published her new book on intellectual property rights related contracts.

Alejandro GARCIA is a senior associate in Herbert Smith's International Arbitration Group in London. Alejandro has participated as counsel in a number of high-value international arbitrations under the rules of the major arbitral institutions. His caseload has included arbitrations seated in jurisdictions across Europe, Asia and the Americas and governed by the laws of a number of countries.

In 2006-2007, Alejandro worked at the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Geneva, Switzerland, where he administered some of the largest and most complex arbitrations filed under the WIPO Arbitration Rules. Alejandro also possesses extensive litigation experience gained at leading law firms in Washington DC (USA) and Chile. He has authored several articles on international arbitration and co-authored the book International Intellectual Property Arbitration (Kluwer Law International, October 2010).

Alejandro is admitted to practice in England and Wales (Solicitor of the Supreme Court), New York and Chile. He holds law degrees from Harvard Law School (LLM) and from University of Chile Law School (LLB/JD).
