Theo STAMATIADIS is an Attorney-at-Law specialising in Intellectual Property management, research grants and procurement contracts. He studied Law at Democritus University (Komotini, Greece) and holds a Masters in Communication Law (Toulouse, France), as well as a Masters in Legal Linguistics (Cergy-Pontoise, France). As legal expert of the IPR-Helpdesk project, Mr. Stamatiadis has been providing assistance to participants in EU-funded projects for several years. In his current work as legal advisor for the Centre de Recerca i Investigació de Catalunya (private research centre established in Barcelona, Spain) and for the biotech company Aromics (Barcelona), Mr. Stamatiadis is responsible for tasks encompassing IP management and technology transfer, as well as for the legal follow-up of numerous R&D projects and business collaborations. He also provides legal support to other public and private organisations through the consultancy company Theia and occasionally works as an evaluator of research grant applications. Mr. Stamatiadis regularly participates as a speaker in conferences and seminars hosted by international organisations, public research agencies and private business schools. He is fluent in English, Greek, French and Spanish. |
