Curriculum Vitae - Mr. David Muls
David Muls, a national of Belgium, is Head of the Electronic Commerce Projects Section in the Office of Legal and Organization Affairs of the World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva. He is responsible for certain intellectual property issues raised by new technologies and the Internet, with a particular focus on domain names and digital rights management. He holds a law degree from the Catholic University of Leuven and an LL.M. from Columbia University.
Prior to joining WIPO in 1997, he practiced as an attorney at Baker& McKenzie in Brussels, was on the legal staff of the Iran-United States Claims Tribunal in The Hague, and headed the Corporate Claims Unit of the Compensation Commission of the United Nations Security Council dealing with claims arising from the Gulf War.
