Launch of the WIPO Advanced DL Courses in Portuguese in Cooperation with INPI Brazil

The WIPO Academy’s customized advanced distance learning (DL) courses on intellectual property in Portuguese were launched in an official ceremony held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on March 14, 2019.

The President of the National Institute of Industrial Property of Brazil (INPI Brazil), Mr. Cláudio Vilar Furtado, the Executive Director of the WIPO Academy, Mr. Sherif Saadallah, and the Regional Director of the WIPO Brazil Office, Mr. José Graça Aranha, participated at the launching ceremony.
The courses are being offered under the framework of the cooperation agreement between the WIPO Academy and INPI Brazil. They will be run by WIPO-certified tutors and administrators at INPI Brazil, who were involved in the course customization process.
Which courses are available?
The following DL courses are now available in Portuguese, with a focus on Brazilian IP laws:
- Advanced DL Course on Patents (DL-301)
- Advanced DL Course on Trademarks, Industrial Designs and Geographical Indications (DL-302)
- Advanced DL Course on Patent Information Search (DL-318)
- Advanced DL Course on the Basics of Patent Drafting (DL-320)
This is the first time that the in-demand DL-318 course will be offered in Portuguese.
