First WIPO - IPOS International Advanced IP Management Program

The WIPO Academy and the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) International are organizing the first edition of Advanced Intellectual Property Management Program (AIPM), which is scheduled to take place virtually from July 18 to 25, 2022. Registration for the AIPM is open until July 11, 2022.

The AIPM focuses on the role and strategic applications of intellectual property (IP) management for business growth in an innovation-driven economy, and is aimed at business owners, postgraduate students, IP officers and government officials. A significant focus will be given to the IP landscape across the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in the program.

What does the AIPM cover?

The AIPM includes project work, group discussions, real-life case study analysis and interactive lectures by renowned experts from the WIPO Singapore Office, academia, the private and public sectors on topics such as:

  • Protecting intangible assets in the innovation ecosystem;
  • IP management and commercialization strategies;
  • Various roles of WIPO in the international landscape;
  • The ASEAN IP landscape;
  • Building an IP strategy;
  • IP negotiation;
  • IP valuation and financing; and
  • Tax considerations and challenges affecting IP.

Participants will receive a joint certificate from WIPO and IPOS International upon participating in at least 80% of the sessions, including discussions and projects.

Candidates for the AIPM are encouraged to apply by July 11, 2022 on the IPOS International website. The AIPM incurs course fees which are adjusted to scale based on professional background:
