World IP Day in Singapore a Great Success!

The WIPO Singapore Office’s Officer-in-charge, Mr. Peter Willimott was delighted to attend the World IP Day event in Singapore. The in-person and online event enabled the audience to hear the inspirational stories of four young Singaporeans who have all encountered IP on their journey was fascinating and entertaining!

Organized by the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS), the event featured a podcast creator, the founder and CEO of a payment platform, a musician/actor/writer/director, and a lawyer. Their honesty, humour, openness and unique insights contributed a great deal of learning for the aduience.

Mr. Alvin Tan, Minister of State, Minister of Culture, Community and Youth, and Minister for Trade and Industry, opened the event and spoke impressively about the importance of IP, and the strategic focus of Singapore on IP and alternative dispute resolution.

The WIPO Singapore Office has an excellent relationship with IPOS and together we work on a range of collaborations to help a variety of audiences use IP as a tool for growth and prosperity.
