With a declaration that the Convention of 1961, the Additional Act of 1972, the 1978 Act and the 1991 Act are not applicable to Greenland and the Faroe Islands. (see UPOV Notification No. 51)

Ratification of the Convention (1961) applied to the territory of the French Republic in Europe, to the Departments of Guadeloupe, Guyane, Martinique and Reunion, to the Overseas Territories of French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Wallis and Futuna Islands and the French Southern and Antarctic Territories. Ratification of the Convention (1961) also applied to Land Berlin. (see Industrial Property 1971, No.12, p.330)

Ratification of the Convention (1961) applied only to the Kingdom in Europe. (see Industrial Property 1971, No.12, p.331)

The United Kingdom extended the application of the Convention to the territory of the Isle of Man with effect from April 25, 2023. (see UPOV Notification No. 126)
