PATENTS (AMENDMENT NO. 2) RULES 1999

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 115 of the Patents Act, the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Patents (Amendment No. 2) Rules 1999 and shall come into operation on 1st July 1999.

Amendment of rule 114

2. Rule 114 of the Patents Rules (R 1) is amended by deleting paragraph (4) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(4) The fee payable for the journal shall be specified in the Eighth Schedule.”.

New Eighth Schedule

3. The Patents Rules are amended by inserting, immediately after the Seventh Schedule, the following Schedule:
