LAW OF THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC

On the Adoption of Amendments to Article 9(3) of the Convention Establishing the World Intellectual Property Organization

Article1.

To adopt the amendment approved on September 24, 1999 by the Assembly of the Paris Union, Assembly of the Berne Union and the Conference of the World Intellectual Property Organization to Article 9(3) of the Convention Establishing the World Intellectual Property Organization, signed in Stockholm on July 14, 1967 and modified on September 28, 1979 in the following wording:

"Director General shall be appointed for a six-year term. He can be re­ appointed for the next six-year term only once. Any other conditions for the appointment shall determined by the General Assembly."

Article 2.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic shall deposit the notification on the amendments adoption to the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization.

Article 3.

The present Law shall enter into force as of the date of it's publication.
