PLANT VARIETIES (PROPRIETARY RIGHTS) ACT, 1980 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1981.

I, RAY MacSHARRY, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 28 (2) of the Plant Varieties (Proprietary Rights) Act, 1980 (No. 24 of 1980), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Plant Varieties (Proprietary Rights) Act, 1980 (Commencement) Order, 1981.

2. The 22nd day of January, 1981, is hereby fixed as the day on which the Plant Varieties (Proprietary Rights) Act, 1980 (No. 24 of 1980), shall come into force.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order prescribes 22 January 1981 as the date on which the Plant Varieties (Proprietary Rights) Act, 1980 (No. 24 of 1980), shall come into force.
