Under its Constitutional authority, Congress has enacted various laws relating to trademarks. The trademark laws compilation includes Part 1 of the Patents Act which establishes the United States Patent and Trademark Office to administer the law relating to the granting of trademarks and contain various other provisions relating to trademarks.
The compilation also contains the U.S. Trademark Act, referred to as the Lanham Act: 15 U.S.C. § 1051 et seq.
