The notification by Switzerland to the WTO under Article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'In respect of Patents, Switzerland and Liechtenstein constitute a single territory'.
'Examination of applications for patents and issue of patents for inventions, right of priority, immunity deriving from an exhibition, administrative remedies, register of patents, applications for European patents and intenational applications, opposition procedure in prior examinations, etc.'
