Year of Version 1993 Dates Entry into force: October 15, 1993 Published: August 16, 1993 Promulgated: July 26, 1993 Adopted: July 15, 1993 Type of Text Main IP Laws Subject Matter Patents (Inventions), Utility Models, Industrial Designs, Undisclosed Information (Trade Secrets), Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights) Notes Article 3 of Law on the Promotion and Protection of Intellectual Property Rights states that it shall not apply to marks, trade names and advertising slogans or signs, which shall be governed by the Central American Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property, to which El Salvador is party.
