The notification by the Philippines to the WTO under article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'This Regulation provides for the implementing regulations of “Republic Act No. 9150 providing for the Protection of Layout-Designs (Topographies) of Integrated Circuits”, which amends certain provisions of the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines.'
The salient provisions of these regulations include: first-to-file (Rule 104), right to registration (Rule 108), who may file the application (Rule 201), period to file application or corrections to the applications (Rule 301), period to file adverse information on the application (Rule 303), administrative actions against infringement (Rule 404), and appeals (Rules 500-501).
