Year of Version 1998 Dates Enacted: November 19, 1998 Type of Text IP-related Laws Subject Matter Copyright and Related Rights (Neighboring Rights), Other Notes The Northern Ireland Act 1998 (Chapter 47) entered into force on different dates (see section 101 under Part IX (Supplemental)). Paragraph 27 under Schedule 3 (Reserved Matters) defines reserved matters, inter alia, for intellectual property but not the subject-matter of Parts I and II of the Plant Varieties Act 1997 (plant varieties and the Plant Varieties and Seeds Tribunal). Paragraph 8 under Schedule 13 (Minor and Consequential Amendments) introduced the amendments to the following provisions of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (c. 48): - Sections 12(9), 153(2), 163(6), 164(1), 178 & 179 amended; - Section 166(B) inserted. Schedule 15 (Repeals) provides for the repeal of the entry in paragraph 1(2) relating to the Northern Ireland Constitution Act 1973 under Schedule 4 of the Trade Marks Act 1994.
