Year of Version 2019 Dates Entry into force: March 1, 2019 Amended up to: December 11, 2017 Type of Text Main IP Laws Subject Matter Trademarks, Geographical Indications, Industrial Designs, IP Regulatory Body, Enforcement of IP and Related Laws Notes This consolidated version of the Benelux Convention on Intellectual Property (trademarks and designs) has been amended by the following Protocols: - Protocol of July 22, 2010, amending the Benelux Convention on Intellectual Property Benelux Organization for Intellectual Property (BOIP), which entered into force on October 1, 2013; - Protocol of May 21, 2014, amending the Benelux Convention on Intellectual Property (Trademarks and Designs), which entered into force on June 1, 2018; - Protocol of December 16, 2014, amending the Benelux Convention on Intellectual Property (trademarks and designs), with regard to opposition and the introduction of administrative cancellation and invalidation procedures against trademarks, which entered into force on June 1, 2018; - Protocol of December 11, 2017, amending the Benelux Convention on Intellectual Property (trademarks and designs), with regard to the implementation of the directive (EU) 2015/2436, which entered into force on March 1, 2019.
