Year of Version 2011 Dates Entry into force: July 1, 2011 Adopted: March 20, 2009 Type of Text Main IP Laws Subject Matter IP Regulatory Body Notes Article 18 under Section 6 of this version of the Federal Act of March 20, 2009, on Patent Attorneys provides for the amendments to certain laws that are specified in its Annex (which is not reproduced in this version and is shown only in the primary version of the said Federal Act). The Annex contains the amendments to the provisions of the following laws: - Article 42 of the Federal Act of August 28, 1992, on the Protection of Trademarks; - Article 18 of the Federal Act of October 5, 2001 on the Protection of Designs; - Article 13 (paragraph 1, introductory sentence), title preceding Article 48a, Article 48b, Article 120 and Article 142 (second sentence) of the Federal Act of June 25, 1954, on Patents; - Article 321 (first sentence of point 1) of the Criminal Code; and - Article 171, paragraph 1 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of October 5, 2007. This version of the Federal Act of March 20, 2009, on Patent Attorneys provides for the date of its entry into force, which is July 1, 2011, in accordance with its Article 20 under Section 6.
