Article 1 states that the Law of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on Wholly Foreign-Owned Enterprises is intended to ensure the establishment and operation of foreign enterprises and to expand and promote economic cooperation and exchange with other countries. Articles 2 and 3 state that a wholly foreign-owned enterprise can be set up by a foreign investor who invests the full amount of required capital in different industry sectors.
Article 7 states that a foreign investor who wishes to set up an enterprise shall submit the application accompanied, inter alia, with the documents of industrial property rights and technical know-how for the establishment of the enterprise to the Investment Control Center of the State.
