Year of Version 1999 Dates Entry into force: December 7, 1995 Adopted: October 18, 1995 Type of Text Main IP Laws Subject Matter Trademarks, Geographical Indications, Competition, Enforcement of IP and Related Laws, IP Regulatory Body Notes This consolidated Decree-Law, which was amended by Decree-Law No. 60/98/M of December 21, 1998, on Amending Article 52 of Decree-Law No. 56/95/M, and the Commercial Code (approved by Decree-Law No. 40/99/M of August 3, 1999), includes all amendments made to Articles 52 and 79-80.

According to Article 85 of this Decree-Law, the following laws shall be repealed:
-Decree Law No. 44/87/M of June 29, 1987, on Fees specified in the Industrial Property Code;
-Articles 165 to 216, 264, 265, 269, 270 and 290 to 293 of the Industrial Property Code, approved by Decree Law No. 16/95 of September 4, 1995.
