Notes
Under Austrian law, a variety of Constitutional Laws exist. Some of them build the 'Constitution' of the country, such as the Basic State Law, the Resolution of the Provisional National Assembly, and Federal Constitutional Law of October 26, 1955 on the Neutrality of Austria.
The Federal Constitutional Law contains provisions on the distribution of competencies between the Federation and the States, election procedures, and highest courts.
For fundamental rights and the basis for the protection of intellectual property, see the Basic State Law.
Date of entry into force: See 'Final Provisions' (Articles 149 et seq.).
