Year of Version 2009 Dates Entry into force: April 21, 2009 Issued: April 7, 2009 Type of Text Implementing Rules/Regulations   Subject Matter Geographical Indications Subject Matter (secondary) IP Regulatory Body Notes The Regulations were adopted on April 7, 2009, and published in the Official Gazette of Montenegro, No. 27/2009 of April 13, 2009.
Article 30 of the regulations states that it shall enter into force on the eighth days of its publication in the Official Gazette of Montenegro. It entered into force on April 21, 2009.

The notification by Montenegro to the WTO under article 63.2 of TRIPS states:
'This Regulation regulates in detail procedure for recognition of indication of geographical origin and recognition of status of the authorized user of indication of geographical origin'.
